Reading Scripture in Community

For most of history, Scripture was heard together before it was read alone. The letters of Paul were read aloud to gathered churches; the Psalms were sung by the whole assembly.

When we study in community, we encounter perspectives that expose our blind spots. A verse that seems obvious to us lands differently for someone from another season of life.
